The surgeon is a board certified and fellowship trained ophthalmologist with extensive experience having performed thousands of procedures over the course of his career. He graduated from UC San Diego in Biochemistry and Cell Biology with honors, and attended George Washington University Medical School. After graduating in 1988, he pursued internship and residency in General Surgery at Harvard Surgical Services in Boston, MA. He later completed residency in Ophthalmology at Boston University. He has completed two fellowships: one in Clinical Research at Brigham and Womens Hospital in Boston, and one in Cornea and Refractive Surgery in Rochester, NY. He is professionally affiliated with the American Board of Ophthalmology, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, the Colorado Medical Society, the Colorado Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons, and the Boulder County Medical Society.
